BJ Shepherd is a Southern original—educator-turned-entrepreneur and the creative force behind Luxe Macon, a high-end floral studio serving Georgia’s gracious, guilty, and unforgettable.

Born and raised in Macon, BJ built his career on bold pivots and bigger visions. After nearly a decade teaching in Bibb County’s public schools, he traded lesson plans for color palettes—first in cosmetology, then in couture floral design. That fearless reinvention led to Luxe Macon: a design house where unapologetic elegance meets precision planning, and no detail goes unnoticed.

BJ holds multiple degrees in education, communications, and business—and it shows. He’s as comfortable arranging a sympathy spray as he is drafting a client contract or designing a full-scale holiday install. He’s the mind behind BuyYourMomFlowers.com, the muscle behind Luxe Legacy (a cemetery flower placement service), and the proud nephew of the artist behind Morgan Smith Jewelry, whose exclusive bracelets are sold only through Luxe Macon.
